Mercy for Love’s Sake: Our Thanksgiving Service Rooted in Gratitude

This past weekend, Christchild Ministries in partnership with Relevance Ministry, gathered in unity and love, for our annual Worship and Thanksgiving experience themed, “Mercy for Love’s Sake.”
The event was more than a ceremony, it was a moment of reflection, renewal, and rejoicing.

Held at Citizen Church, the service brought together partners, colleagues, families, and friends to honor the grace that had carried us through the year. From heartfelt worship to electrifying praise sessions, and soul-stirring testimonies, every moment echoed the truth that mercy is not earned, it’s gifted, and love is its language.

Pastor Prince Buckman welcomed us to the church and inspired us with the journey of Citizen Church.

Highlights from the service:

This year’s thanksgiving service was more than an event, a moment to reflect on the goodness of God, and a celebration of mercy poured out for love’s sake.

Networking & Cocktail Fellowship
We began with light-hearted conversation over cocktails. We took selfies, engaged in some friendly banter, small talk and tete-a-tete. It was more than networking, it was communion in motion.

Heartfilled worship and praise sessions by Minister Ron
Minister Ron led the worship, a spirit-filled, and deeply moving session. We sang of God’s faithfulness, in both old and contemporary Ghanaian and Nigerian worship and praise songs. We danced like David in his courtyard, leaving us breathless yet excited for more.

Keynote & project reflections by Elinam
Elinam walked us through the journey so far, highlighting past projects, lessons learned, and seeds sown. It was a moment of clarity and celebration, showing how listening to God, having passion for His word and doing work to His glory has guided every step of our way from December 2023 till now.

Ministration by Relevance
Relevance graced the evening with a powerful ministration that stirred our hearts and lifted spirits. We were entertained and reminded of how talent is a fruit of the spirit and should be used to support God’s work always.

Word of the Day by Rev. Michelle
Rev. Michelle delivered a soul-stirring message from Psalm 103:2: Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits. A reminder to stay grateful and mindful of God’s goodness: His forgiveness, healing, redemption, love, protection and mercy. Her words were gentle yet powerful, calling us to receive grace and extend it freely.

She admonished us to be positive and have a heart full of gratitude.

There were also ministrations by our own Sandra Nkansah and Spoken Word from Enoch Baah. Min. Reginald Laryea ended the event with a prayer session and altar call.

Whether you came with a heavy heart or a grateful one, Mercy for Love’s Sake reminded you that you are seen, held, and loved no matter the season, as Christ’s children.

Looking Ahead

As we step into the final quarter of the year, this service marks a spiritual reset. We move forward with renewed strength, deeper compassion, and a commitment to extend our hearts of gratitude into the works and lips of thanksgiving at Jesus Banquet 2025.
